Speciale Italia: Cioccolato Monorigine – Ecuador

I found this Italian chocolate bar in a Marshall’s/Homegoods, which was very exciting because it was discounted! I recommend checking out your local discount stores like Marshalls or TJ Maxx because they get “designer” chocolate, just make sure that it hasn’t bloomed or the packages aren’t ripped. This is a single origin bar from Ecuador, and is “Extra Fondente 68%.”

It smells flowery with anise undertones.. yum. At first, it has a slightly bitter, woodsy taste. As it melts, the flavor mellows and becomes more roasted, like a mild espresso. Very tasty!
