Chuao – Chuspa 41%

The Chuspa bar is a single origin chocolate from Venezuela, specifically from the Aguasanta Growth Initiative, and Chuspa being the name of the town.  Another reason I’m interested in finding the best chocolate (other than my passion for the taste..) is that the small farmers in the cocoa producing countries would benefit from greater world-wide interest in higher quality cacao. It would allow them to grow the higher quality beans and be able to profit more greatly from them. The Chuao website link above is a nice summary of my feelings on this.

This milk chocolate bar smells woodsy, like walking in a pine forest. The taste is also earthy, but with a tangy finish. It is also very creamy and melts really smoothly.
